Joan Y. Swenson, President of Artscape, Inc., studied voice for ten years, attended Boston University and the University of Massachusetts in Amherst where she received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interior Design. She worked at the first art-leasing firm in Boston, "Art for Industry"; at the Museum of Performing Arts at Lincoln Center as the gallery designer for three galleries in the library, and Joan was the manager of the New York Museum Shop for the two years immediately preceding formation of Artscape, Inc in 1981. Joan was a board member of the Society for Art in Healthcare for 6 years.
